CARTOON NETWORK GAMES
Cartoon Network games are video games based on characters in various Cartoon Network animated shows, a cable television show created by Turner Broadcasting with a youth-oriented programming. It has mostly animated shows.
One of the Cartoon Network games is Cartoon Network: Block Party, a video game published by Majesco Games available in Game Boy Advance.
The game, which can be played by everyone, features characters from various Cartoon Network shows such as Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Cow and Chicken. Cartoon Network: Block Party is a party game that enables up to four players to compete “party style” on boards themed to a specific Cartoon Network show.
It features 14 unique mini-games including: Grand Prix, Strike a Pose, Greased Porkbutts, Backyard Boogie, and Skatin’ the U. An example of the game is the Courage the Cowardly Dog world. Here, Eustace and Muriel are trapped in the mansion of the evil Katz.
Courage is in the mansion and is attempting to save them. The player must collect three spiders and 75 cobwebs before returning to the start and winning.
Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku is another in the list of Cartoon Network games based on a Cartoon Network show. The show tells the story of a samurai named Jack, who, while on a quest to defeat an evil wizard named Aku, is transported thousands of years into the future, where Aku has taken full control of the world.
The game features seamless animation where Jack will move through four realms and 24 levels ranging from a village to a city from the future in Aku’s universe, each with interactive backgrounds.
There are 25 enemies including Aku, Mad Jack and the Scotsman. Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku is an action-based game that arms Jack with 25 signature moves and utilize four elemental swords. Players can even hand enemies their pink slip on life in a tongue-in-cheek bullet-time mode called “Sakai Mode.” It is available on PlayStation 2.
A newly released video game in the Cartoon Network games list is George of the Jungle and the Search for the Secret. It is based on the George of the Jungle show, an animated spoof of the popular Tarzan story.
It tells the story of George, a dim-witted but big-hearted “ape man” who lives in the jungle. He is called upon each episode to save its inhabitants from various threats. The game, which is available on Wii, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS is in 3D. It has a total of six levels, two with a jungle theme, two with a swamp theme and two with a temple theme.
There are three video games based on the Ed, Edd n Eddy shows. These Cartoon Network games are Ed, Edd n Eddy: Jawbreakers!; Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures and Ed, Edd n Eddy: Scam of the Century.
The show revolves around three preadolescent boys: Ed, who is slow-witted and often speaks non-sequiturs; Edd, who is usually called “Double D” and is rather intelligent; and Eddy, the leader of the trio. The three hang out together and scheme to make money off their peers, but their plans usually fail, leaving them in various predicaments.
In Ed, Edd n Eddy: Jawbreakers!, the player must help the three Eds win a contest whose grand prize is a lifetime supply of jawbreakers. It is available on Game Boy Advance. In Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures, the game follows through eight scams or levels, two of which are unlockable via gameplay and using each Eds special formations and abilities.
It is available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo, Game Cube and Game Boy Advance. In Ed, Edd n Eddy: Scam of the Century, each Ed has his own set of levels to complete. Each Ed has his own style of movement and attacks. Item pick-ups can be activated on the touch-screen. There are also a number of unlockable mini-games in this video game.
